About Isaac Ryan

RYAN, ISAAC (1805–1836). Isaac Ryan, Alamo defender, son of Jacob and Marie (Hartgrove) Ryan, was born at St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, on March 1, 1805. He took part in the siege of Bexar and served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. Robert Whiteqv's infantry company, the Bexar Guards. Ryan died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
