ISABELLA FIRTH

is the daughter of John Firth, farmer, and Mary Sinclair.

She married William Linklater.

Isabella Firth died at Cedar Cottage, Finstwown, in the Orkney mainland parish of Firth, on the 17th of September 1936. she was 89 years of Age. Her daughter, Jessie Linklater, reported her death to the local registrar on the 21st September following [Registrar General for Scotland, New Register House, Edinburgh, registration district number 17 (Firth in the County of Orkney), entry number 10].

MEMORIAL INSCRIPTION IN FINSTOWN CEMETERY

Sacred to the memory of William Linklater who died 25th Feb 1922 aged 72 years, a beloved husband and father. Also his wife Isabella Firth who died 17th Sept 1936 aged 89 years. Au Revoir mother dear. And their daughters Isabella who died 21st July 1929 aged 47 years and Mary Elizabeth who died 3rd April 1935 aged 49 years. Also their son John who died 20th Oct 1935 aged 56 years.
