Isaiah Kidder Crane, son of Solomon Ccrane and Elizabeth Mills, was born in Washington, New Hampshire on Feb.28, 1820; m. OLIVE C. HEALD of Washington, NH on Feb. 17, 1842; she d. in Washington on Apr. 23, 1855. He removed to Iowa in 1855, and was married to MARGARET A(Angelina) SMITH on Feb. 13, 1865. He fought three years for the Union during the Rebellion. (Co. K., 35th Regt, Iowa Inf. Private. Union and Co. I, 12th Regt, Iowa Inf., Private, Union). He is a properous farmer and resides in Maquoketa, Iowa.
