In 1913 Isador and Mary Nodelman Beaver, his sister-in-law, decided to go to America and look for Mary’s husband. Another woman (unknown at this time) may have been with them. They left Etta, the three children and Mary’s three girls. They arrived in Galveston, TX on June 9, 1913, destination was Houston, TX, with E. Nudelman. They stayed in Houston, near Eleck and Etya, Mary's brother. Then they moved to Trenton, NJ, living on N. Broad St. Both showing in the 1920 census.
In 1920 Isador planned to return to Russia and bring Etta and their three children to America. In that year (August?) he went to Russia (passport July 1920), gathered his family and went by train to France. According to the Weis family, Sylvia had been living with Etta and was brought with them on the trip to America. I have located the passenger list showing Sylvia (Sara) was with them, showing her as 15 yrs old at the time. On 12/3/1920 they sailed on the S.S. Manoa from Le Havre, France arriving on 12/17/1920 in St John, New Brunswick, Canada. They settled in Trenton, NJ, on N. Broad St.
In October 1921 Isador went to Liverpool, England and brought back his sister Lea or Rivka and a niece, Tabel. They arrived 13 Oct 1921 in Quebec, Canada on the SS Empress of France. Apparently the girls were left with Isador's brother in Montreal and Isador returned to Trenton.
At some point Isador brought his parents to America initially staying with the family on N Broad St. Then moved them to a place on Perry St .
