Mom was a Christian woman who was warm fun and friendly and who taught in many schools throughout her life, taught English as a second language to young Mexican men and families in her home. Always took in or "adopted" kids from other nationalities. She was the breadwinner for our family for most of her married life. In her latter years - She was active in her church in Monmouth, Oregon, worked in the Salem Public LIbrary and then worked with her eldest daughter Randee doing paperwork and deliveries for an amateur pool league. Mom the tea-totaler doing errands at bars!!! She was always thoughtful and generous - remembering birthdays and special occasions - sending notes and gifts.
