According to MOOC8/57.49b Jacobus Smit and Jacoba Elisabeth Meintjies only had 3 children at the time of Jacobus's death in 1808. e1 – e3. SAG has 7 children for the couple. e4–e7 were all born from 1793 to 1797. e5 and e6 were married in 1817 and 1816. Not sure if e4 – e7 were actually their children as especially e5 and e6 would have been mentioned in the MOOC document if they were as they were still alive in 1808.
