About Jacobus de Wet, SV/PROG

Citizen Stellenbosch. James was a prominent member of the society and the Church Farm Road, south of Shimla (also known as Roodezandkerk in the Land of Waveren) farming. The farm is irrigated by a stream of water from the Witzenberge. From the records it appears that with the enlargement of the church in 1794 everyone had to assist and that if Council member James wethers, wheat, food and drink for the slaves who helped the building, provided. He was appointed in 1805 as one of the first five heemraadslede. The second British have names of the Cape in 1806 he took part in the battle Bloubergstrand a member of the army under General Janssens. After his death, his widow with their eldest son, Jacobus Francois, continued the farm

Hierdie seun was mettertyd as Jacobus de Wet (b1) bekend.
