• There appears to be a great deal of conflicting information regarding James' birthdate: WWI Draft Registration lists the year of his birth as 1880; his Utah Death Certificate lists the year as 1876; the Utah Cemetery Inventory (which, btw, also lists his name as "Edward James") lists his day of birth as May 17 while other places cite May 7.
