96(c) James Murray of Pardewis, died September 1592. His Will recorded 19th July 1594 (Edinburgh). He took part in the Raid of Ruthven, and was forfeited 22nd August 1584. He married, first, July 1572, Marion, daughter of Sir Simon Preston, and, second, before 17th April 1582, Agnes Lindsay. He had two sons:

• 96(c)1 John Murray of Pardewis, died about 1606.
• 96(c)2 Patrick Murray of Pardewis. Served heir to his brother, 30th October 1606. He married Margaret, daughter of Alexander Colvill, Commendator of Culross.
