Jane Carrey is the daughter of actor Jim Carrey and his first wife Melissa Carrey, with whom Jim was married from 1987 until their divorce in 1995. Jane is the lead singer of her band, The Jane Carrey Band. She has also worked with her father and his current girlfriend Jenny McCarthy during various fundraisers for autism.

On July 10, 2009, it was announced that Jane is pregnant with her first baby. The father is her husband and musician Alex Santana, nicknamed "Nitro" in his band, Blood Money. The two married in November of 2009. She gave birth to her son Jackson Riley Santana on February 26, 2010 at the age of 22.

Jim Carrey twittered about the birth of Jackson and posted pictures of the newborn baby. His tweet said: "Jackson Riley Santana, My Grandson Born today! This is what 7lbs.qqoz. of California dynomite looks like!" Jim was 48 years old at the time he became a grandfather. Jenny McCarthy tweeted about the birth as well and called herself an "honorary grandmother". Jane said she planned to balance motherhood with her musical career. Before her son was born, she said she was excited about having a boy because she always felt more comfortable around males and did not get along with other girls when she was growing up.
