About Jane Pride (Halcott)
We know that the wife of William Pride of Henrico's name was Jane from a Patent wherein he was granted land for the transportation of 26 individuals, including himself and his wife, Jane. Due to the fact that a number of descendants carried the name, Halcott, I believe that the maiden name of William's wife, Jane, might have been Halcott.
Children of William Pride and Jane are:
- John2 Pride, died Bef February 1742/43 in Henrico County, Virginia.
- Halcott Pride, died Bef October 05, 1725 in Henrico County, Virginia.
- Winifred Pride, born Abt 1672 in Virginia; died November 25, 1729 in Bristol Parish, Henrico County, Virginia.
- William Pride. He married Ann Clark Hill.
