Jane Mallory was the daughter of Capt. Roger Mallory and Mary Jane Holland Holderby was born 1665 in King William Co, Virginia, and died date unknown in King & Queen County, Virginia. She married Capt. John Quarles, Sr. c.1685 in King and Queen Co., Virgina. He was the son of John Quarles and Frances West.
Roger Mallory came to Virginia before 1680 and was established on the Mattapony River soon thereafter and he reared his family there. In a deposition made by Arthur Johns on January 23, 1760, he stated that he 'Lived within a mile and a half of Roger MALLORY, and knew his son, John, and went to school with him, before he went to England.' The John's home was above the creek more recently known as Madison's Creek, which is the 1st creek above Sandy Point in King William Co. [Watt Genealogical Society Quarterly, V61, p1261
Jane is mentioned as "my sister Quarles" in the will of John Mallory of London, dated 1747.
