NOTE/PUZZZLE] Website [1] states that her name was "Joan ___", [2][4] states that it was "Jane Stanlake", and [3] gives "Jane Rickard". [2] gives Jane's father as Richard Stanlake.

1 September 1640 Thomas and his wife Joan were convicted of incontinency before marriage, he to be whipped and she to sit in the stocks. - [3]

[PUZZLE] Does this add to the Joan/Jane confusion of his wife's name ... and this happend a year AFTER he married Jane Rickard? Was Joan his second wife after a very short marriage to Jane? Was the "incontinency" the reason for the end of the first marriage? Would this mean that Joan was the "former" wife of Daniel Stanley (since there is no information that Jane was ever married to him)?
