About Jennie Foster

Jennie Foster [1777 – 1812] is mentioned in Rickey Butch Walker's book "Doublehead: Last Chickamauga Cherokee Chief" (Killen, Alabama: Bluewater Publications, 2012). He says that she was the child of John Foster and Two Heads Doublehead, the daughter of old Chief Doublehead. Per this source, Jennie Foster first married James Clement (Wa-Wli) Vann [Feb 1765 – Feb 21, 1809] and then John Anthony Foreman [1780 – 1807].

Jennie (Foster) & John Foreman (c. 1780 & d.1807 were the )parents of Elizabeth Foster Foreman. Elizabeth married John Jack Elliott, Sr. who is notable for being assassinated near Saline Creek, Ind. Territory, by political allies of Cherokee Chief John Ross who was opposed by many Cherokees before and during the 1840's. She and John Elliott were parents of 11 children.
