About Jens Pedersen
There have been rumors of Jens having had the name Lagård or Lagaard. I have found several entries about Jens in the Norwegian church-registers from Gildeskaal and no-one of them mentions this. I have therefor deleted this name until we find proof. I will also check with uncle John.
In the Norwegian digital archives from the people count in 1865 Jens (29) and Christane Malene (26) are registered as living in the farm "Nord Arnø" or "North Arnoe" in the school district Oeernes (Øernes) in Gildeskaal. They lived there at the time with their two eldest sons, Ludvig and Edvard, age 4 and 2, and a house girl called Lovise Larsdatter, age 13.
