Mr Johan Svensson Lundahl, 51, a tailor by trade, had for some 25 years been living in Spokane, Washington but returned with his wife Christina Lunddahl and 12 year old daughter Mabel to his former home in Fyrnan, Urshult, Småland, Sweden. Meanwhile they had rented out their house on E. Carlisle Ave. in Spokane. It was their intention to return after three years but Lundahl became homesick and travelled back in advance to the USA, the rest of the family to follow when he had the money to buy the tickets.
He boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a third class passenger .
August Wennerström told that after the accident, when Lundahl realized the seriousness of the situation, he said farewell to his friends and returned to his cabin to die. His body was never found.
The Mansion House Fund paid 2699.52 Kr (£148) to his wife and daughter. 5247 Kr (£275) damage claims were paid to his wife and daughter 31 December 1914.
