Immigrated from Germany on the ship Ranier out of Rotterdam, arriving in the port of Philadelphia in late September 1749. Ship was mastered by Henry Browning and was reported to be carrying passengers from Hanau, Wirtenberg, Darmsland and Isenberg. Johann, along with the other 125 male passengers, was required to take an oath to the government at the courthouse in Philadelphia on September 26, 1749.
