About Johann Martin Dippenaar, SV/PROG

Johann Martin Depner (later known as Johannes Marthinus Dippenaar) arrived at the Cape of Good Hope in 1735 as a soldier from Wehlau, East Prussia, on the ship "Beukesteyn". He became a Burger in 1746.

Arr. 1735 as so., b. 1746. ~ 10.11.1748 Maria Magdalena Schmidt, d. of Christian Schmidt of Halle (q.v.). 10 children. + 1790 on “Groene Valley” on the Oliphants Rivier. (Rq. 1746: 58; Test. O.C. 58:40; Inv. O.C. 20: 5; Bdlr. 18: 23; G.R. nr. 97.)
