Joanna Coffin was not married to Rev. Joseph Hull! The name comes from some inventive and quite persuasive speculation by an eary Hull researcher, Orra Eugene Monnette. He based his speculation on the usual genealogical suspects: names of children, locations of possible relatives, etc. However, Phyllis Hughes found that the Joanna Coffin under consideration - daughter of Peter and Joanna (Thember) Coffin - was only ~3 years old when she supposedly married, so that's that. You still see the name in various published genealogies, because other researchers copied Monnette, and still others copied them - but it is quite wrong.
