He first appears on London lists as son, age 6.

Remains with Father Johan Ernst Emichen and Brother Johann Adam, in London for 7 Months, and aboard the Ship Fame (3 Months waiting to Sail and 3 Months to cross Atlantic Ocean)

First appears on Governor Hunter`s Ration Lists in July, 1710-listed as with his Family, one of 2 persons under 10 years of age.

Johannes becomes a Naturalized Citizen of the Colonial USA on Mar. 13 1715/1716.

Johannes was one of the original Land Patentee`s of Stone Arabia in 1723 / originally receiving Lots #6 and #46. He was 19th on the List and was later alloted Lot#`s 3, 12, 16 18 and 2, First Division.

Johannes and wife, Elizabeth Snell, were still living in Stone Arabia in1744, as Sommers Lutheran Church Records Record the Baptisim of their Daughter- Anna Maria Empey- 1/8/1744 Johannes was installed as a Church Elder on 8/12/1744

His known signatures show as Hannis Empey, Johannes Emiger [http://www.schenectadyhistory.org/resources/mvgw/history/033.html] and Johannes Emge.
Johannes, in 1763, shows as a "Free Holder" in the City of Albany, NY and was made a Juryman., per Dr.Henry Z. Jones

Marriage to Elizabeth Snell- c. 1722.

On June 7 1771, Johannes`s last known acts, before Death, were for Land Transfers- Land Lot #86 of 198 Acres to his son Jacob Empey, who later Dies at Battle of Oriskany.

Present day fact: (as of 5/29/1998)

Helen Abel Empie-Failing owns this home and land with her husband.

Part of the original home is still standing and incorporated into the present 2 story frame dwelling. No parts of the old barns remain. When inside this homes kitchen,one can look North out the picture window and view the fertile,rolling fields. The Failings are retired and do not farm anymore.However, the fields are rented out to other farmers who still work the land.
