He was vicar of Dalhem (1623), and Målilla (1631). He was not the son of Bengt Cornikundius of Odensvi (Sune Lindqvist, Några anteckningar kring släkten Retzius´äldre led. SoH 1999/3-4 p. 410).

He died a few days before [his daughter-in-law] Margareta Håkansdotter (Gryphia); and was buried in the same grave with her (Målilla C:1).
