"Adam son of Jacob also arrived on the Charming Nancy with his father. He is listed with the children and women. Jacob's wife Maria Magdalena and his daughter Barbara also came on that ship. Adam died relatively young in 1771, but left a large family. His will is available naming children. Probably I should number Maria Magdalena 2, Adam 3 and Barbara 4 and go from there. "I too saw that Robert Battle for some unknown reason referred to Adam Fackler as John (Adam) Fackler, thus having him show as a John in his listings. I don’t know why he did this. Johann or Hans is John, but was often used as the first name for every male with the second name being the name of use. This Adam had numerous civil and court documents naming him as Adam and he calls himself Adam in his will so why bother with a reference to him as John.
