No one has been able to know who John "Barba" Barbee's parents were. John's last name was Barbee and not Barbee as all his children had the last name Barbee and his tombstone says Barbee. DNA testing has been done and it has been shown he is a descendant of William Barbee and Elizabeth Beaumount. I do have a theory on who John "Barba" Barbee's parents were, but it is just a theory as I can not have any proof but the dates would fit into that family and they did have a son John who I have no information on. Also after Cateranah Tucker Barbee died John married his cousin Frances "Fanny" Harwood. (from Jessica Laurel Davis)
