Mr John Henry Boyes, 36 [1], was born in Liverpool.
He initially signed-on to the Titanic in Belfast for her delivery trip to Southampton. When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 106 Clovelly Road, (Southampton). As a first class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. His last ship had been the Olympic.
Boyes died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.
A death announcement was published:
Boyes, John Henry (Harry), aged 36, husband of Clara Boyes of 106 Clovelly Road, S-n.
Notes The death announcement gives the age as 36, Boyes gave his age as 30 when signing-on in Belfast and 33 when signing-on in Southampton.
