John Newhouse BEALE was born about January 1803 in Wakefield, Yorkshire, England. It is not known when he emigrated from England to the Cape of Good Hope. He married Emma HEWSON on the 16th September 1831 at St. George's Church (later Cathedral), Grahamstown, Albany, Eastern Cape of Good Hope. He died on the 1 August 1838 at the home of W. Bowers, Palmietfontein, Transvaal
