"Another John Roberts, probably his grandson, was recorder of Middlesex and held lands 'within the manor of Nesdon'; when he died in 1476 his son Thomas was six years old."

John Roberts (died 1476) grandfather was also named John Roberts; it was this senior Roberts who purchased from John Attewode of Neasdon, in the year 1403, all of Attewode's lands in the parish of Willesden.
