GENEOLOGY DATA MISTAKES:

This John Sadler has been confused or cross mix in error with John Carlisle Sadler.

John Carlisle Sadler was born on June 5, 1815, the son of Henry Sadley Sadler and Nancy Carter, who had never married.

Elizabeth "Betsy" Carpenter is daughter of Jonathon Arthur Carpenter of Island Ford, Rutherford County, North Carolina.

1853: Chancery Court Minutes, Smith Co. Tn. 1853:

Harbert SADLER versus Leighton PHILIPS and wife Easther, Hezekiah TAYLOR and wife Frances, Philip SADLER, John SADLER, Henry SADLER, Henry MULLINS, Bird MULLINS, ESTER MULLINS, Frances MULLINS, Mahala MULLINS, Leighton MULLINS, and Louisa E. MULLINS, the last seven being the children and heirs of Elizabeth Mullins.

On 5 Feb 1825, Elizabeth SADLER, the mother of complainant and the defendants, Frances, Easther, Philip, Henry, John, and Philip SADLER, and the grandmother of the defendants Mullins was appointed guardian for her minor children, viz. Philip, Henry, Harbert, Frances, and Easther SADLER. The said Elizabeth SADLER died, intestate, never having made any written conveyance to the land. In pursuant of a family agreement in consideration of one dollar the conveyance is made. 11 Aug 1858. (pp. 418-421).
