John Cherleton, 3rd Lord Cherleton was born circa 1336.1 He was the son of John Cherleton, 2nd Lord Cherleton and Maud de Mortimer.1 He married Joan de Stafford, daughter of Ralph de Stafford, 1st Earl of Stafford and Margaret Audley, Baroness Audley.1 He died on 13 July 1374.1
John Cherleton, 3rd Lord Cherleton succeeded to the title of Lord of Powis [feudal baron] in 1360.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Cherleton [E., 1313] in 1360.1
