Benjamin Blount, (1725-1800), a veteran of the colonial wars, was a member of the Convention that framed the state constitution. In 1779 the Assembly permitted him to resign as colonel of Tyrrell county. William Slade, (1745-91), was ensign and lieutenant, 1777. He served to the close of the war and became a member of the Cincinnati. He was born and died in Martin Co., N. C. Also Nos. 6488, 27507, 36134, 39892. Edmund Blount, (1755-1823), served in the militia and, 1780, was elected to the Assembly of Tyrrell county. Jonathan Tuck, (1697-1781), was a signer of the Association Test of Hampton. Samuel Tuck, (1731-89), was a member of the Committee of Safety of Hampton, New Hampshire. Also Nos. 8499, 9539, 16989, 35167. Jonathan Prescott, (1723-1809), signed the Association Test and served in the New Hampshire militia.

He signed the Association Test in 1776. He entered into service of his country & served throughout the Revolutionary War. He Went to Pierce's Islandin 1775 under Capt. Joseph Clifford & Col. Thomas Tush. In 1776 He went to NY under Capt. William Prescott & Col. Thomas Tush. He was at West Point and other places in NY State up to 1780. The last year he served under Capt. Henry Butler & Col. Thomas Bartlett. He moved his family to Gilmanton, NH in 1793.
