JOSEPH PECK, III ....... Birth: Feb. 25, 1680 Milford New Haven County Connecticut, USA Death: 1739 Newtown Fairfield County Connecticut, USA

The son of my ancestors, LIEUT. JOSEPH & MARY CAMP PECK, and grandson of my immigrant ancestors, JOSEPH PECK & ALICE (HEATH) BURWELL PECK, he married Abigail Baldwin, daughter of Theophilus & Abigail (Canfield) Baldwin Merwin on January 14, 1706 in Milford, Conn.

The family removed from Milford to Newtown, Conn. by 1714 where Joseph's name appears in the town records for many years. He was a selectman in 1714, received land in the meadow in 1717, and was on a committee to find a new Minister for the church in Newtown. Joseph's ear-mark for his livestock was a "half-penney".

His will was written on October 31, 1729 and names his children: Joseph, Abigail, John, Mary, Elizabeth, Moses & (2nd) Mary.
