-------------------- Served in Montfort's Company in NC as a private for 9 months starting in July, 20, 1778 in the Rev. War. He was a sharpshooter who was stationed to guard the Delaware River for G. George Washington. Was awarded a land grant for his service. It was located in the Powell Valley of Claiborne, County, TN. He left Tennassee in 1830 for Missouri.
