About Joshua Terry

(son of Parshall Terry and Hannah Terry). Born August 11, 1825, Albion, Ontario, Canada. Came to Utah September 26, 1847, George B. Wallace company.

   Married:	Ann Greasewood in 1852, at Fort Bridger, Wyoming.(an Indian girl), who was born in Wyoming.
   Their children:
           George born February 1, 1853, married Kate Einis;
           Jane born April 26, 1855, married John Rideout.
   Married:	Mary Emma Reid (Johnson) January 20, 1857, Salt Lake City (daughter of John Reid and Sarah Corter, pioneers 1852, Warren Snow company). She was born June 7, 1840, at Golden Point, Hancock county, Illinois.
   Their children:
           William Johnson (adopted) born February 18, 1856;
           Mary Ann born November 1857, married Amelia Charles;
           Sarah Ann born December 3, 1861, married Winfield Scott Ballard December 15, 1881;
           Hunter born October 1, 1883, married Harriet Brown;
           Hannah L. born August 17, 1865, married David Brown 1885;
           Deborah born July 4, 1867, died;
           Emma born August 3, 1869, married Hyrum Brown 1889;
           Elisha T. born October 7, 1871;
           Joseph H. born April 28, 1873;
           Porter M. born July 21, 1875;
           Valeria P. born January 18, 1877;
           Deney M. born January 14, 1879;
           Margra born January 3, 1880; latter six died;
           Redell S. born January 7, 1882, married Eliza Henderson 1903.

High Priest; patriarch. Assisted in building Fort Bridger. Indian interpreter; spending fifteen years among the tribes. Drove first wagon into Davis county, Box Elder county, and into the Bear River country, and was a pioneer into many other parts of four states. Sources:
