Naming notes

Julia MacCarthy was also known as Cicely. She was also known as Gille.6 From 1540, her married name became FitzMaurice. From after 1550, her married name became McCarthy-Reagh.1 From before 27 July 1551, her married name became Butler.4 As a result of her marriage, Julia MacCarthy was styled as Baroness Dunboyne. As a result of her marriage, Julia MacCarthy was styled as Countess of Clanricarde in 1568. From 1568, her married name became Bourke.4
