About Juliana Plumpton
Not herself a member of the Warwick family, but a former chamberlain of the Countess of Warwick (this would have been Mathilda de Percy, wife to William, 3rd Earl of Warwick, and she may have been Dowager Countess at the time). Parentage unknown.
Robert de Linton, another Warwick chamberlain, was her brother.
Second wife, possibly previously mistress, of Nigel de Plumpton. She sued his son Peter for her dower rights, and the papers relating to the case make it clear that Peter was the son of Nigel's first wife.
John de Plumpton was her son and, probably, Nigel's, but his legitimacy is uncertain - though he could have been legitimated after the fact.
