Semi-retired attorney, owner of Shining Lotus Bookstore in Denver, and former librarian, technical writer, professional genealogist, and computer geek. I have an undergraduate degree in Medieval History and a doctorate in Law.
My immediate ancestors were among the earliest pioneers of the American West. They came west on the Mormon Trail, the Oregon Trail, and the Santa Fe Trail. My distant ancestry is mostly colonial American, equally divided between North and South, with immigrants from England, Scotland, Ireiand, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and France, with bits of American Indian and a chunk of Swedish.
I have been doing genealogy since about 1968. My research interests include the royal and noble families of Europe and the migration to colonial and western North America. As a Volunteer Curator, I focus on the Gallo-Romans.
