Sir John de Sutton was the son of John de Sutton and Isabella de Cherleton.1 He married, secondly, Joan Clinton, daughter of John Clinton.1 He married, firstly, Catherine de Stafford, daughter of Ralph de Stafford, 1st Earl of Stafford and Margaret Audley, Baroness Audley, on 25 December 1357.1 He died circa 1370.1
