◦Obituary: Kathy Fay (Grunewald)
Cottage Grove/ Monona - Kathy (Grunewald) Fay, age 43, celebrated life to the fullest just about everyday until Saturday, May 8, 2010.
She partied and enjoyed great times with some of the best, those being her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and love of her life, Pete. He made her laugh everyday and was her calm in every storm. She also liked gardening, canning and freezing like her mom and dad taught her. She loved cooking for anybody as long as they were hungry (and sometimes they had to be told they were), golfing and enjoying downtime at Janeo and Daveo's pool. She enjoyed going to most all the sporting events to watch her stepson, Cole.
She is survived by her one-of-a-kind husband, Pete; her stepson, Cole; her brothers and sister, Rick (Diane) Lemke of Montello, Jane (Dave) Ring of Cottage Grove, Jim (Laurie) Lemke of Marshall, Kevin (Ann) Lemke of Cottage Grove, and Eugene (Doreen) Grunewald of Madison; her dad and stepmom, Gene (Wilma) Grunewald of Madison; her stepsisters, Terri (Dave) Seawell of Minnesota, and Bonnie Rude of Sun Prairie; her mother and father-in-law, Marie and John Fay of Cottage Grove; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stephan (Wendy) Fay of Florida, Paul Fay of DeForest, Stephanie (Jack) Hanlin of Missouri, and Kathy Sanders of Stoughton; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Grunewald; her sister-in-law, Heidi Lemke; her uncle, Edward Grunewald; her nephews, Jeremy Grunewald and Nate Lemke; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
There will be a private service for family only. A celebration of her life will be held at the VFW POST No. 7591, 301 Cottage Grove Road, Madison on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
