Thomas was of age before 1671, when he was guardian to his brother John. On 14 Sept 1671, Lancelot and Cornelius Howard of Anne Arundel County, guardians to John Todd, brother to said Lancelot, convey to Thomas Furley of Talbot County, the tract Todd upon Darvan, containing 400 acres, on St. Michael's River (Talbot Co., i, 173). 15 Apr 1680, Lancelot Todd was a witnes sto the will of Cornelius Howard (his daughter Mary was niece to Cornelius' wife Elizabeth). On 5 Mar 1684 Lancelot Todd of Anne Arundel County and Sarah his wife, "Daughter and heiress of Thomas Phelps" for ?10,000 sold to Edward Phelps [Philks] "Wolfe's Neck," a tract of 150 acres on the Gunpowder which bordered the land formerlay taken up by Captain Thomas Harwood, Mariner; the conveyance was witnessed by Thomas Bland and John Howard. (Balto. Co., R. M. N o. H. S., 116).

The will of "Lancelot Todd of Anne Arundel County, planter" was dated 28 Feb 1691 and proved 10 Nov 1691 in Anne Arundel Co., witnessed by John Dorsey, Hugh Bawden, and John Leary. (Annapolis, ii, 219) An extract includes:

TO wife Sarah the dwelling-plantation during life, then to son John.

TO son John a moiety of "Phelp's Rest," horse and colt and be of age at 18 years.

TO daughter Mary the other half of "Phelp's Rest," but if she died without issue then to daughter Sarah, then to daugher Ellinor.

TO daugher Mary "shall have and Injoy the Cow and her increase which her Aunt Elizabeth Howard Gave her."

TO wife her thirds whom he appointed executrix with the residue being divide equally to "my said children."

Lancelot further stated that his "kinsman Lancelott Todd shal be likewise free to work for himself at the Age of Eighteen." The valud of his personal estate occured on 8 Sept 1691 with a value of 16,720 lbs. tob. or ?69/13/4. His wearing apparel including the breeches of his servant boy "who is dead" was appraised at ?2/8/4. There was also an old Bible, five beds and furniture, one floch bed, on old large fowling Gunn and one unfixed gunn.
