About Lawrence Taylard
NOTE: Although the Horde Memorial in St. Mary's, Ewell, gives Lawrence's surname as "Taylare", in reference to his widow, Dorothy Roberts - "late the wife of Sir Laurence Taylare, of Duddington, in the co. of Huntingdon, Knt." - the correct spelling seems to be "Taylard", according to the History of Parliament.
"... Sir Lawrence Taylare, knt., of Doddington, Hunts., who died about November, 1573, and was buried at Doddington."
