Here is what we know about the Feldman and Wang families from Rivka Schechter:

I've been digging into the family tree (Feldmans), and here is what I came up with. Jennie (Shaindel Leibe) was born Dec. 1877. Jacob (Yakov) was born in 1878. [Note: Two Ellis Island records indicate that Jacob was born in 1873. It is unlikely that both are wrong. --GF] Yakov's father was Layb (Za'ev. According to Yakov's Naturalization papers) Those two names are the same in Hebrew and Yiddish. Uncle Leo was named for him. The customs officer wrote down something incorrectly. [Leo is listed as "Isak" on the Ellis Island manifest. --GF] Leo's tombstone reads Za'ev (Layble or Leon).

Jacob (Yakov) Feldman also had some siblings. They were Chayim, Moshe, Malka, Joseph, and Rifcheh. Someplace in the tree there is a Wolf Feldman who married a Razel. I thought that was Jacob's father and mother, but perhaps that was Jacob's grandparents. The Naturalization papers say Za'ev as a father.

Jennie's father's name was Avrum Chaim, and Arnold was named after him. He was the Wang (Vang). He married Bracha and they had lots of kids. Jennie's siblings were Chaim, Mendel, Yitzchak, Srul (Israel), Laibish etc, I'm not sure I have them all, but that's all I know of. I do remember a great uncle Srul, who married a Minnie too. That's probably why I remember him and his wife.

Moshe married Malka, one of Jacob's siblings [Moshe is Jacob's brother. There appear to be two Malkas here, one is Moshe's sister and the other his wife. --GF], and they had Jake, Nettie, Joe, Mechel, and Mendel. Joe and my father were named after the same person, and Joe lived in Cheyenne. We visited him once some forty years ago. Rifcheh' (another one of his sibling's) married a Mendel Frankel. They begot Benjamin, Gertie, Laybish and Joe and two other's whose name I never did get when I questioned Rae almost thirty years ago. She was my source, and Bubby was very old and remembered many of these names. Information was retrieved in l976.
