Leo Joseph Heiple, 84, of Worthington, Ohio, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was a native of Derry, a retired executive for the Chrysler Corp. with 24 years of service, a member of St. Peter Catholic Church for 25 years and a Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific. Leo enjoyed boating and golf and had a keen interest in his family's history and Civil War history. Preceded in death by parents Henry Harrison and Emma Virginia (Little) Heiple. Survived by loving wife of 60 years Margaret J. Heiple; devoted children Deborah (Bill) Hoy and Rick (Ann) Heiple; cherished grandchildren Luke Heiple, Kathryn (Sean) Leugers and Jamie and Jenna Hoy; brothers Wilmont (Ruth) and Don (Beverly) Heiple, and nieces and nephews. Friends were received Friday at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smokey Row Road, Columbus, Ohio, with the Rev. Jeffrey Tigyer as celebrant. Private family interment. Contributions in Leo's memory may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
