Leocadio married Feliza Malonda Calleja, with whom he had Domingo and Remedios. When he became a young widower, Leocadio took his wife’s sister, Salome Malonda Calleja as his second spouse. They had no children.
Leocadio was an active in his family’s many businesses in Bicol, which extended to other cities. When his then 20-year old daughter, Remedios, travelled to the United States aboard SS President Jackson in 1937, the Seattle immigrations officer made a note on the passenger list: “Father owns various stores in Manila.”
