Lester W. Todd, the son of Thomas and Lilly Todd was born at Hendrum, MN, June 6, 1916. He attended Hendrum High school and junior college at Glendale, California. He married Eunice C. Hovden, Oct. 24, 1935, at Fargo, ND. He had lived in the Hendrum area all his life being in road construction for twenty years and then went into farming. He passed away at his home suddenly from a heart attack on Nov. 26, 1977.

He was survived by his wife, Eunice and four children. Dale L.Todd, Texline, TX; Dennis L. Todd, Jamestown, ND; Penny (Dianne) Todd, Minneapolis; and Dean at home;, his mother, Mrs. Thomas (Lilly) Todd at the John Wimmer Memorial Home at Ada; three brothers: Arnett and Keith both of Hendrum and Glenn of Kragnes, together with seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Nov. 30, 1977, at the Bethania Lutheran Church, rural Perley, MN. Pastor Arthur H. Grimstad officiated. Organist was Penny Dosland. Mrs. Thomas Hall sang 'Under His Wings," and Pastor Grimstad sang "I Know of a Sleep in Jesus Name."

Casketbearers were Allan Johnson, Charles Krogstad, Thomas and Ellsworth Todd, Jeff and Douglas Hovden. Burial was in the Bethania Lutheran Cemetery, rural Perley.
