Lieutenant Anthony Morse, son of Anthony Morse, was born in England. He lived in Newbury and served in the militia as lieutenant. His will was made before that of his father and thus caused a misunderstanding which was corrected by Mr. Henry Dutch Lord and this brought the two Anthony's into the right generations. He married (1) May 8, 1659--60 Elizabeth, Daughter of Richard and Afnes (Coffey) Knight, who died July 29, 1667; he married (2) November 11, 1669, Mary daughter of Thomas and Eleanor Barnard, who was born September 22, 1645; he died in Newbury, February 22, 1677; she married (2), Philip Eastman of Salisbury, Mass.,, and removed with her children to Woodstock, Conn

Lieutenant Anthony, fourth son of Anthony and Mary Morse, was born in England. He lived in Newbury, and served as lieutenant in the militia. His will was made before that of his father and caused some confusion as to the identity of the two. He married (first), May 8, 1659, Elizabeth, daughter of Richard and Agnes (Coffey) Knight, who died July 29, 1667, and he married (second), Nov. 11, 1669, Mary, daughter of Thomas and Eleanor Barnard. She was born Sept. 27, 1645. He died Feb. 22, 1677, in Newbury, and his widow subsequently married Phillip Eastman, of Salisbury, Mass., and removed with her husband and children to Woodstock, Connecticut. Children (all of 1st wife): Ruth, Anthony, Elizabeth, John, Peter, Joseph and Sarah.
