About Linda Joyce Babbin Wilson Jones
I was born in Massachusetts, lived in Colorado for 12 years, and am now on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I was a systems analyst for many years, and have had personal computers for over 30 years, so I'm pretty geeky.
My father was half Acadian and half French-Canadian. My main paternal line is Babin. My mother was half Scottish and about one-fourth English and one-fourth Irish. My main maternal line is French.
I've been an amateur genealogist for about 20 years, although there was a period of about 10 years when I had very little time for it. I'm just getting back to it and I'm finding it hard to resist working on genealogy all day long. It really is like a very addictive drug!
I've made trips to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City where I've filled up suitcases with photocopies of books, mainly French-Canadian repertoires. So I have the ability to do a lot of research in my own study. I also have Les Registres de Bonaventure, which is incredibly helpful for people born or married anywhere in Bonaventure from 1791 to 1960. I'll be glad to help anyone who needs information on their relatives there.
