Mrs. Lois C. Hoy Called By Death Services Tomorrow for Hancock Native
Mrs. Lois Canfield Hoy, 83, widow of Smith Hoy, died at 11:45 a.m., Saturday in her residence at 205 Lima Avenue. She had been ill for the past several days.
A native of Hancock County, she was born June 3, 1868, a daughter of Jacob W. and Amanda (Misamore) Siddall.
She was married to Llewellyn L. Canfield, September 12 1895, and he died in 1929. She later was married to Smith Hoy who preceded her in death in 1939.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Julia Canfield Wright, Middleton, Mass.; three sisters, Mrs. John Williams, Mrs. James Marshall, and Mrs. Harry Seifried, all of Findlay; and a brother, Paul Siddall, Alliance. There are also a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. W. A. Fahl, preceded Mrs. Hoy in death.
Mrs. Hoy was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the First Methodist church.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday in the Coldren Funeral home, the Rev. Donald Cryer officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
