Avon - Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St Anna, for Lorenz G.

Zierden, 65, 19088 County Road 154, who died Tuesday at St. Cloud Hospital.

The Rev. Robert Voigt will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9:30 pm today at the church in St. Anna. Parish prayers will be at 8 tonight at the

church, followed by Albany Knights of Columbus at 8:30.

Funeral arrangements were made by Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.

Lorenz Zierden was born June 8, 1928, in New Munich to Alois and Emma (Ertl) Zierden. He married Dolores

Garding Aug 25, 1953, in St. Martin. He farmed in the St. Anna area for 34 years and worked as a machinist for

Cold Spring Brewery for 6 1/2 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he

was an usher; Catholic Aid Society; Albany Knights of Columbus; and the Teamsters Union.

Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons, Rose Maidl, St. Cloud; Roger, St. Joseph; Ronald, Avon; Ruth

Reichert, Sartell; brothers and sisters, Walter, Avon; LeRoy, Sauk Rapids; Rita Wensmann, Elmdale; Ethel

Nierenhausen, St. Cloud; Mildred Wensmann, Melrose; Ervin, Sartell; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Kenny and Kevin Wensmann, Tim, Jerry and Allen Zierden, and Paul Nierenhausen.
