Louis Heitler Lehman was born in Pueblo, Colorado, March 12, 1889.
His father, Morris Lehman, was born in Sampelberg, Ger- many, in 1850, and died in Pueblo, in 1890. He was connected with the Lehman Leaf Tobacco Company. Mrs. Lehman was Rosa Heitler. Lehman's Yale relatives are a brother, E. H. Lehman, 1902, and a cousin. C. H. Studin, 1897.
Lehman prepared for Yale at the Centennial High School. Pueblo. He took a Dissertation appointment, and was awarded the Colorado Entrance Prize. He was a member of the College and the Freshman Unions, and was active in the work of \ ale Hall. He belonged to the Cosmopolitan Club and to the Hebraic Society. In Senior year he pursued bis studies /'// absentia, at the same time teaching in Kansas City, Missouri. In Freshman year he roomed alone in 524 Pierson ; in Sophomore year with Silberstein in 206 Farnam ; in Junior year alone in 108 Welch.
Lehman expects to go into teaching or business, and will probably take a course either in the Yale or the Columbia Graduate School. His permanent address is, Care of E. H. Lehman, Yale College, New Haven, Conn.
