Love Pollard was born Nov. 14, 1800, died 1897. Daughter of George and Tamar (Bunker) Pollard; Married Robert F. Parker from Nova Scotia in 1821. They were proprietors of several boarding houses, including the Mansion House, the Ocean House, and the Mitchell House. Her brother George Pollard was captain of the Essex, sunk by a whale in 1820. She was the organist of the Unitarian Church and secretary of the Ladies Howard Society. At the time of her death she was the oldest resident of Nantucket. (2)
