Jacob, freeman 1665 in Weymouth. His father gave him 20 acres of land noth of the commons in Weymouth a month before his marriage to Abigail. Jacob fought in King Philip’s War in the Naragansett Campaign in 1675, and was stationed on 24 Jun 1676 at Punckapaugee, an Indian village about ten miles southwest of Weymouth. He was quartermaster of the Hingham and Weymouth militia 13 Oct 1680, a member of the hours-mounted troop, and promoted to Lieutenant Jun 1689, later referred to as Capt. Nash.88

Jacob and Abigail lived on the Old Plymouth Road (which ran from Boston to Plymouth) at the fork in Weymouth where one branch went through Hingham and Scituate while the other went through Abington. He owned saw mills and grist mills in both Weymouth and Abington. He was contracted by the town to build a pound and in 1682, a new town meeting house. He received the old pound and meeting house as part of his compensation. Jacob was selectman several years from 1677 through 1704, and representative four years from 1684 through 1691. He owned land in Weymouth, Abington, Boston, and Bridgewater.88

Jacob was a representative in 1689 and 1690.87

ca 1666 Jacob married Abigail Dyer, daughter of Dea. Thomas Dyer (ca 1612-6 or 15 Nov 1676) & Agnes Reed (ca 1620-4 Dec 1667).87 Born on 9 Jul 1647 in Weymouth, MA.87 Abigail died aft 1724.88
